Kevin L. KennedyB.S. Business/Marketing, W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University
J.D., Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University
Kevin is passionate about helping Entrepreneurs navigate the world of business/tax/estate planning. His ‘bread and butter’ practice areas consist of business entity formations including LLC’s and corporations and helping clients implement associated business tax write-offs, forming self-directed IRA LLC’s, self-directed Solo 401k’s, and estate plans (revocable living trust, will, power of attorney, etc.). He loves helping clients protect their assets and save taxes. He also regularly drafts and review contracts and agreements for small business owners and real estate investors, including partnership agreements, buy-sell agreements, joint venture agreements, vendor agreements, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, non-competes, promissory notes, security agreements, loan agreements, commercial lease agreements, and purchase agreements. He regularly assists clients with navigating the rules surrounding self-directed retirement accounts including prohibited transactions, UBTI and UDFI taxes. He also has helped many small business owners and real estate investors avoid the costs and risks of litigation by helping to settle disputes out of court. He is a great resource for small business owners when it comes to regulatory matters and compliance. He considers himself an outsourced general counsel for his small business clients when it comes to compliance, corporate governance, and employee relations. He also has experience representing clients in commercial and real estate litigation matters, bankruptcy, and probate.
He is admitted to practice in both the federal and state courts of Arizona. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, Association of Corporate Counsel, and the American Bar Association. He loves golf, basketball, and being outdoors. When he is not helping clients, he’s with his family (wife and four kids). His favorite food is everything.
