Repeatedly named in Utah Business Magazine as two of Utah’s “Legal Elite” in the field of Government Relations, Christopher J. Kyler, and Michael J. Ostermiller are partners in the law firm Kyler Kohler Ostermiller & Sorensen, LLP, and have over twelve years of experience in government relations.
Chris Kyler serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Utah Association of Realtors and Mike Ostermiller serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors. In addition to representing Realtors throughout the State, our government relations attorneys have represented numerous Fortune 500 companies, National Associations such as the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, major utilities, natural gas and alternative energy companies, gas exploration companies, health care companies, small businesses, transportation and construction companies, private higher education companies, charter schools, and various other private clients.
Mr. Kyler and Mr. Ostermiller represent clients on the federal, state, and local level and have worked on matters including property tax, corporate tax, severance tax, utility laws, telecommunication laws, and internet laws. They successfully drafted and passed the Utah Land Use Development & Management Act which simplified the impact fee process and eminent domain law. They have also secured hundreds of millions of dollars in appropriations for roads and capital facility projects for clients.
In forming the nucleus of the KKOS Lobbying team, Mr. Ostermiller and Mr. Kyler are committed to represent their clients in an honest and professional manner.
